    Yellapur Town is famous for Gramdevi. The Town is located in Karwar District 100 Kms away from District Head Quarter And 70  KMS Away from Hubli . The Town has Beatuful Greenery all over the town and is surrounded by scattered forest of western ghats. Yellapur town has a population of about 17923. it is endowed with excellent environmen. Yana Unchalli falls sathodi falls , Magod falls etc are some of the tourist interest places located in and around of the cityu Rice and Areca nut are the major crops grown in the territorial region of yellapur  The Town Panchayat yellapur has a boundary of 64.00 Sq. kms with 18 wards . The council is constituted of 18 elected members. Presently SWM Activities in the town are carried by the ULB and in future SWM Activities will handled as per this plan.

 ಯಲ್ಲಾಫುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಯು ಕಾರವಾರದಿಂದ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ ಎಚ್-63 ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲದ್ದು .ಕಾರವಾರದಿಂದ 100 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ 70 ಕಿ.ಮಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. 2001 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯಲ್ಲಾಫುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 17923 ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ   ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ 18 ವಾರ್ಡಗಳಿದ್ದು 18 ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಸದ್ಯಸ್ಯರು 3 ನಾಮನಿರ್ದೆಶಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯು 64. ಚ.ಕಿಮೀ ಗಳಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಯಲ್ಲಾಫುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯು ಮಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟಗಳಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದೇವಿಯ ದೇವಸ್ಸಾನವು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ.ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ದೇವಿಯ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯು ನೆಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಮಾಗೋಡ, ಸಾತೋಡಿ, ಜೇನುಕಲ್ಲುಗುಡ್ಡ, ಕವಡಿಕೇರಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ.

              Computerisation : Properties within Yellapur tp limits have been identified & details have been collected and computerisation of records is under progress . Citizens can avail this facility to pay property tax shortly. Birth and deathrecords are vailable online form the year 1998. Citizens can mak use of this facility to register and obtain Birth and death certificates .

                        ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಬ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

                       ಜನನ ಮರಣ ನೋಂದಣೀಕರಣವು ದಿನಾಂಕ 29/01/2009 ರಂದು ಆನ್ಲೈನ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದು 1989 ರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯರವರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಅದರ ಉಪಯೋಗವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗುವದು.
